About The Position
The Cheese Belt Operator plays a crucial role in the cheese production process at MWC, a state-of-the-art facility located in St. Johns, MI. This position is responsible for ensuring that the cheese production belts operate smoothly and efficiently, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate daily logs. The operator must be familiar with various cheese recipes and ensure that all production activities align with these recipes. This includes performing daily salt calibrations, logging lot numbers of ingredients, and ensuring that all necessary samples are taken and recorded accurately. The operator is also responsible for the proper cleaning and inspection of the belts and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and occupational safety standards. In addition to the technical responsibilities, the Cheese Belt Operator is expected to embody Glanbia's core values, which include respect, collaboration, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The operator will assist in training new team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to meeting production schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position involves regular communication with the Cheese Team Leader and other team members to address any issues that arise during production.
