About The Position

Requirements

  • Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience Required: No experience required; in-house training provided.
  • Good Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Skills Required: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a food service/food plant or sanitation background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor both DMM and salting belts during operation.
  • Enter all variables on belts for each recipe during production.
  • Communicate any variances in recipe set points to Supervisor and Vat/EFV Operator.
  • Take production and micro samples as required.
  • Address alarms for the continuous delivery of cheese to packaging area.
  • Deliver cheese samples from packaging area to lab in a timely manner.
  • Deliver 55 gallon drums of chemicals to CIP system for DMM, Salting belt, and tower CIP’s.
  • Work with Sanitation on prepping of both DMM and salter and perform CIP for both belts in a timely manner.
  • Titrate all chemicals used for CIP in each belt area.
  • Perform all Master Sanitation Schedule items daily.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
  • Maintain and inspection work area.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Understand all CIP circuits and titrate all chemicals involved in CIP programs.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
