About The Position

Adventure Camp Staff Expectations Adventure Camp staff are more than camper supervisors—they’re mentors, role models, and inclusive leaders. Every team member helps create a community where each camper’s story is worth knowing, where they feel supported, and where they’re encouraged to explore with confidence and curiosity. Staff set the tone for belonging by modeling kindness, creativity, and steady leadership -- whether guiding high-energy adventures, facilitating quiet reflection, or leading group discussions. Working at Adventure Camp means joining a collaborative, joyful team where your story matters too. Each day offers opportunities to grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of campers and fellow staff. Principal Function: The Belonging Programs Coordinator serves as the lead architect for Adventure Camp’s Belonging Framework and is essential to embedding Courage (Heart), Leadership (Mind), and Intentionality (Will) across all camp and enrichment programs. The coordinator designs and facilitates counselor training sessions in coordination with the director, oversees camper evaluation and data collection, and ensures ongoing alignment with the project’s Theory of Change. During the camp season, this role provides daily coaching and mentorship to staff, manages schedule of (3) Belonging Specialists, and supports program delivery. In the off-season, the Coordinator collaborates with full time staff and community partners, develops enrichment programs, and manages camp special programming. Funding is supported through December 31, 2028. Currently, there are no plans to extend this position beyond this date. Belonging Programs Coordinator: Part-time hours vary by season - approximately 25 hours/week January - March and August - December, 40 hours/week April - July. Benefits are not provided.
