About The Position

The Bellperson assists guests in transporting luggage to and from guest rooms, coordinates guests' needs, requests and inquiries. Essential Functions include greeting guests and escorting them to their rooms when needed, handling luggage for guests upon arrival or departure, transporting luggage between lobby and guest rooms, receiving and marking baggage by completing and attaching claim checks, assisting physically challenged guests with special needs, maintaining presentable entrances, assisting the Front Desk in delivering quick and efficient service to hotel guests, maintaining constant communication with transportation, front desk, and messaging/PBX team members, assisting guests with general questions about the rooms or other points of interests, complying with all health and safety standards, attending meetings as scheduled, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Good verbal communication & listening skills
  • Knowledge of telecommunications systems
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment and ability to move people and goods
  • Great guest service skills
  • Trustworthy and have the ability to take care with people & protect property
  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with team members and guests
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to perform intermediate math
