About The Position

A Bellman for Skytop Lodge is a first point of contact for our guests. Responsible for greeting guests, opening doors, transporting guest luggage, and assisting other departments when needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Must have good customer relations skills, good communication skills, and be service oriented.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Prior Bell Person or Door Attendant experience is helpful but training is provided.
After training, have knowledge of the hotel layout and grounds, surrounding communities and departmental procedures.
Must be friendly, hospitable, courteous, service oriented, trustworthy, reliable, flexible and self-motivated.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival in a timely manner
Transport guest luggage to and from hotel rooms
Open hotel doors for guests
Storage of guest luggage, coats, and belongings
Keep assigned areas neat and tidy
Radio communication between team members when necessary (Front Desk, Operator, Shuttles, Security, Housekeeping, and Maintenance)
Confirming guest information via computer terminal
Starting and tending to lobby fireplace
Assist with Valet/Door Attendant duties when needed
Report any maintenance, safety hazards or problems to proper department
