The Bell Person greets guests with a warm welcome at the hotel entrance and provides services related to the transportation and storage of luggage, along with other guest services. This role involves loading and unloading luggage carts, tagging and storing luggage, and escorting guests to their hotel rooms. The Bell Person also provides an overview of guest rooms, hotel services, and amenities, makes deliveries to guest rooms, and assists with room changes. Additional duties include stocking the pantry when necessary, maintaining lists and brochures of local attractions, transportation guides, churches, and sports arenas. The role may also involve performing house attendant functions during staff shortages. The Bell Person is expected to be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction, follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program, practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards, ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
