We’re hiring Bell Persons/Lobby Attendants to Live. Work. Explore. this summer! Job Summary: We know the magic starts before the check-in. That’s where you come in! As a Bell Person, you’re not just handling bags – you’re handling first impressions. With a warm smile, a helpful hand, and wheels that glide like butter, you help guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. If you love meeting people, know your way around a luggage cart, and can offer local tips like a human Yelp, you might be our next hospitality MVP. We don’t just offer accommodations – we offer a story. As a proud piece of history, our hotel has welcomed travelers, dignitaries, and dreamers for generations. Our service is timeless, and so is our hospitality. We’re looking for a Bell Person who embodies warm welcomes, polished professionalism, and old-school charm (in Lederhosen). The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: late-May through late-September 2026 Pay: $10.95/hr + tips Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Location: Many Glacier Hotel Why Glacier National Park? Requirements

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a “Yes, absolutely!” attitude.
  • Demonstrate strong and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
  • Tech-savvy enough to use front desk software and troubleshoot a guest room key issue.
  • Reliability and professionalism – you’re on time, organized, and ready to roll.
  • Passion for people and love for hospitality.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to different changes and have good decision-making skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, overnights, and occasional guest emergencies.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn fast.
  • Have respect for tradition.
  • Knowledge of the park, local area, attractions, and directions.
  • Must exhibit outstanding organization and time management skills, goal oriented, and comfortable working in pressure situations.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Stand for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling luggage up to 100 pounds. Frequently carrying luggage up and down narrow flights of stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Working in various weather conditions.
  • Working safely with required chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a big plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests at the door like a friendly face from their favorite travel movie and a touch of historic flair
  • Transport luggage to and from guest rooms during arrivals and departures (with care and flair!) – what do you mean there is no elevator?
  • Escort guests to their rooms and give them a quick tour of the space
  • Provide information on hotel amenities, services, and local hikes. Answer guests’ inquiries about the hotel, park, and surrounding areas.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms as requested – extra pillows, ice buckets, rollaway beds, pack-n-plays.
  • Keep the public areas clean, organized, and welcoming - lobby, restrooms, and meeting/convention rooms.
  • Be the go-to helper for guests who need a hand (or a cart).
  • Move luggage from one room to the next (room moves).
  • Perform bag pulls for arriving and departing groups.
  • Assist the Guest Services team as directed.
  • Chop firewood. Build and start fire in fireplaces.
  • Wear assigned uniform and keep it clean and neat.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
