About The Position

Upon being hired for this position, you will enter a Probationary status, working up to 40 hours per week. Upon completion of the probationary period, you could become benefit eligible. The role involves greeting and welcoming guests at the Williamsburg Lodge Hotel, escorting them to their rooms, and assisting with luggage. You will inform guests about hotel services, room controls, evacuation routes, and answer questions about the lodge and Colonial Williamsburg. Additionally, you will provide transportation for guests to local attractions and assist with ice service upon request.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age in accordance with Colonial Williamsburg insurance requirements.
• Valid driver's license and an original Motor Vehicle Record transcript (MVR) issued within the past 30 days, covering the past five years.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of hospitality, courtesy, and professionalism while interacting with guests and staff.
• Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of the Williamsburg Lodge and Colonial Williamsburg.
• Ability to handle unexpected challenges with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the Williamsburg Lodge Hotel.
• Escort guests to their hotel rooms and assist with their luggage, using a baggage cart when necessary.
• Inform guests about hotel services, room controls, evacuation routes, and answer questions about the lodge and Colonial Williamsburg.
• Provide transportation for hotel guests to Colonial Williamsburg restaurants, attractions, and other on-property locations, then return them to the hotel.
• Provide ice service upon request.
• Offer assistance to doorkeepers as needed.
