We are hiring a Bell Captain! The Bell Captain is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the lobby, front door, bell stand, and luggage room. This role involves marketing the entire hotel when rooming a guest and maintaining complete knowledge of hotel amenities, layout, local attractions, and airport transportation. The Bell Captain reads the log book daily, keeps up-to-date on in-house groups and functions, and follows all rooming procedures. They issue proper luggage tags, store bags properly, and cross-reference when issuing. The role also includes maintaining vehicle maintenance records, ensuring deliveries and luggage are brought to the correct rooms, and demonstrating readiness to help guests. The Bell Captain facilitates prompt handling of guest luggage and needs during peak periods, completes their share of last man duties, and assists in the maintenance upkeep of the bell closet and carts. They work systematically to avoid losing luggage and operate bell carts with care to prevent damage or injury. Each associate is required to follow the rules found in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks, deliver guest valet laundry promptly, and accurately provide directions and information regarding the immediate and metro areas. The Bell Captain reports tips daily, maintains a positive attitude, demonstrates thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures, and ensures that all checklists and responsibilities are completed by the end of their shift. Attendance in the Service Excellence Class and achieving an 80% or higher in observations is mandatory.
