About The Position

Position Summary: The Bell Attendant has an important role in the guest’s evaluation of the hotel and its services. The Bell Attendant will always conduct themselves as friendly yet professional. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $8.65 plus tips. Qualifications: Minimum Education –High School Diploma Minimum Experience – Previous guest service experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting is appreciated, but not essential. Must possess the ability to remain calm in a stressful and/or hurried environment, Ability to handle confidential information. Must work both independently and in a team environment. Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written. Must be able to pass a background check. Expectations & Responsibilities: Bell Attendant possesses an extensive/intimate knowledge of the hotel operational policies and procedures, as guests will require a vast array of resort services and information. Transportation of luggage to and from the guestrooms. Facilitating guest traffic in the lobby, opening doors, and delivering time sensitive materials such as: overnight packages, guestroom amenities, and shoe shines. Above all, we are looking for a person who appreciates the opportunity to be of service. Upholds the Core Values and policies & procedures of the resort. All other duties as assigned. Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds across medium - long distance. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements. Must be physically able to transport luggage over the course of an eight (8) hour shift, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift. Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping as needed.
