About The Position

Guest Services Bell Attendant are primarily responsible for greeting and welcoming all guests to the hotel and relieving guests of their luggage upon arrival at The Betsy. Bell Attendant ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times, and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.
  • Ability to use a guest service management system and related devices.
  • Ability to follow instruction.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Professional attitude is required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Works well with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Good communication skills are an asset.
  • Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Checks the daily arrival list for Betsy VIP's or guests with special needs.
  • Is present at the Front Door of The Betsy or in the lobby area  ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
  • Responds to guest requests and inquiries providing a knowledgeable, efficient and helpful service.
  • Ensures collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Escorts guests to room, placing luggage in a room assigned by the front desk staff.
  • Inspects guest rooms for order and adequate supplies and informs guests of room amenities.
  • Ensures that guests verify that all of their luggage is accounted for.
  • Assists guests with luggage to the front desk. Tags baggage and returns the identification slips to guests. Ensures safe storage and collects ticketing of guest coats and personal items.
  • Ensures the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
  • Delivers faxes, messages, packages and flowers to guest rooms, meeting rooms, and offices as needed.
  • Provides items on loan to guests and collects the items back from guests before departure.
  • Assists guests with long-term luggage storage requests and updates and records of such transactions for proper tracking.
  • Continuously updates the luggage movement registry.
  • Assists with answering the telephone and taking messages, transferring calls or dealing with inquiries.
  • Performs any other works as and when assigned by the management.
