The Room Attendant at Travelodge/Penny's Diner is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are maintained in a clean and attractive condition. This role involves daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, which includes stocking carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety protocols. The Room Attendant must approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and grooming as per brand standards. In this position, the Room Attendant will be required to thoroughly clean and restock a designated number of guest rooms each shift, complete pre-cleaning duties, and ensure that all trash and dirty linens are removed from the rooms. The role also involves keeping hallways and public areas clean and neat, preparing the housekeeping cart for the next day, and reporting any missing items or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. The Room Attendant must follow all procedures outlined by the Housekeeping Manager and handle lost and found items according to established standards. The work environment is primarily indoors, with the associate subject to various physical conditions, including the need to function in narrow aisles and passageways. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and walking for extended periods. The Room Attendant must also be able to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers, demonstrating strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
