About The Position

At Behavioral Health Works, Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with kids with autism, helping them build communication, social, and everyday life skills through ABA therapy. This role offers meaningful, hands-on work with children who need support, without corporate fluff. It serves as a launchpad for individuals building careers in healthcare, education, or behavioral health, providing a supportive environment for growth and a sense of purpose in daily work.

Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Are available weekday afternoons or evenings (between 8am to 8pm, minimum 3 days/week)
  • Have a reliable car, valid license, and insurance
  • Are comfortable with tech, you'll use your phone/tablet for data collection

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience or a passion for caregiving, education, or working with kids with special needs
  • Experience or interest in: paraprofessional work, caregiving, coaching, tutoring, special education, social work, mental health advocacy, youth programs, foster care, childcare, camp counseling, or any related field
  • Studying psychology, education, social work, human development, or something similar

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with kids using play-based ABA therapy
  • Teaching communication, social, and self-help skills
  • Tracking progress and collecting session data on your phone or tablet
  • Partnering with families and a clinical team
