About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER plays a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of clients during Shift 2. This position is responsible for providing direct care and assistance to individuals with behavioral health issues, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and facilitating daily activities and therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management.
  • Familiarity with shift work, particularly in a healthcare or behavioral health environment.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare-related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and behavioral interventions as directed by clinical staff.
  • Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions designed to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs and progress, contributing to treatment planning and review meetings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment, adhering to safety and health protocols.
  • Respond to crisis situations and de-escalate conflicts using approved intervention techniques.
  • Support clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
