About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER plays a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of clients during Shift 2. This position is responsible for providing direct care and assistance to individuals with behavioral health issues, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and facilitating daily activities and therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
Experience in crisis intervention and management.
Familiarity with shift work, particularly in a healthcare or behavioral health environment.
Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare-related software.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and behavioral interventions as directed by clinical staff.
Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents, maintaining accurate and timely records.
Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions designed to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal development.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs and progress, contributing to treatment planning and review meetings.
Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment, adhering to safety and health protocols.
Respond to crisis situations and de-escalate conflicts using approved intervention techniques.
Support clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
