About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs during Shift 1. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The Behavioral Tech II plays a crucial role in facilitating patient recovery and promoting positive behavioral changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and any significant changes in condition.
  • Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct group and individual activities designed to promote social interaction and skill development.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress notes.
  • Support patients in achieving their treatment goals and encourage positive behavioral changes.
  • Uphold the standards and policies of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER while demonstrating professionalism and ethical behavior at all times.
