Join our compassionate team at Morning Star Boys Ranch as a Behavioral Support Staff member, where you will play a crucial role in the lives of children aged 6-13 who have faced significant adversity and trauma. Our Behavioral Rehabilitation Services (BRS) program, established in 1957, is dedicated to providing care, empathy, and a commitment to the growth and learning of vulnerable youth. As a part of our team, you will engage with children from diverse backgrounds, teaching them recreational activities and modeling life skills through relationship-based interventions. Your role will involve effective communication to collaboratively solve problems, administering and documenting behavior management plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in your care. In this part-time position, you will provide top-notch care and supervision, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with Health and Human Services and HIPAA regulations. You will be responsible for various written, typed, and verbal communication documentation and reports, demonstrating professional boundaries at all times. Your duties will include preparing and serving meals, supervising household chores, conducting safety checks, and implementing CPR and First Aid as needed. You will also transport clients safely using the MSBR vehicle and participate in meetings and training to implement policies and treatment plans.
