  • Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support services to NMDs with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and complex medical needs
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aligned with each youth's individualized treatment plan, TILP (Transitional Independent Living Plan), and NSP (Needs and Services Plan)
  • Apply trauma-informed and neurodiverse-affirming practices in all behavioral interventions and daily interactions
  • Utilize ABA-based strategies (e.g., reinforcement systems, task analysis, behavior shaping) tailored to each youth's communication style and developmental level
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess behavioral needs and develop behavior support plans with measurable goals
  • Collect and analyze data on target behaviors and skill acquisition to guide clinical decision-making
  • Support with NMD making pro-social health decisions (e.g., financial, physical, mental, etc.) and general health education
  • Document behavioral services, intervention progress, and observations in clear, timely, and clinically appropriate progress notes
  • Support NMDs in developing self-regulation skills, functional communication, and social-emotional competencies
  • Assist youth in accessing daily routines, coping with transitions, and increasing independence in accordance with their abilities
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings, clinical case conferences, and individual supervision sessions
  • Provide coaching and modeling for cottage staff in behavioral intervention techniques to ensure consistency across settings
  • Maintain compliance with agency, state, and licensing regulations related to behavioral service delivery and documentation
  • Coach and support NMDs in developing and maintaining daily living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and time management.
  • Support the nursing department with tasks related to clients ongoing medical care including providing support for daily living skills, information needed for medical charting and other relevant tasks.

  • High School Diploma required
  • AA (60 units) or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with young adults facing emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Have and maintain an acceptable driving record, subject to periodic review
  • Must provide proof of personal auto insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
