New River Valley Community Services KPACT is seeking a full-time Behavioral Specialist! The Behavioral Specialist working for the Kids Program for Assertive Community Treatment (KPACT), provides behavioral management support, social skill development, intensive supervision, crisis stabilization services, transportation and family support to children and adolescents with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities in the home, school, and community settings. Assists with the implementation of the client's and family's treatment plan by facilitating treatment/behavioral strategies in order to assist with the achievement of identified goals. Develops and maintains working relationships with: individuals served, families and/or caregivers, other NRVCS programs, and other community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality services. Works as part of the KPACT treatment team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community.
