About The Position

Crystal Springs in Assonet, MA is seeking a full-time Behavioral Services Coordinator - Children's Services to help design and execute behavior support and intervention programs. Crystal Springs is an inspiring residential facility dedicated to individuals with disabilities, providing specialized educational, therapeutic, and residential services for over seventy years. The mission is to empower individuals on their unique journeys toward independence. The role involves collaborating with behavior specialists and internal departments to develop programs tailored to students' unique needs and maintain a cohesive behavioral support system that serves students and staff. The coordinator will play a key part in day-to-day operations, ensuring children receive necessary support services and contributing to a positive difference every day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field like psychology, behavior analysis, or social work
  • 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and overseeing behavioral intervention programs
  • Experience in a residential care setting or working with people with special needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, with the ability to learn new software and online portals
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and non-violent physical intervention certifications within 3 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license in your state of residence, reliable transportation, and a good driving record
  • Ability to perform physical demands like walking, bending, reaching, lifting objects/people without assistance, using office equipment, physically restraining individuals, working outdoors, etc.
  • Pass a background check, drug screening, and tuberculosis (TB) test

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • BCBA or BCaBA certification
  • Experience with positive behavior supports (PBS), trauma-informed care, and ABA strategies

Responsibilities

  • Creating, executing, and modifying PBS plans in alignment with best practices
  • Performing behavioral assessments, evaluating student intake forms, and helping identify suitable interventions
  • Collecting, entering, and analyzing data to measure intervention effectiveness
  • Leading in-service training sessions about ABA, behavioral interventions, and crisis prevention
  • Participating in meetings regarding IEPs, clinical discussions, and behavior specialist assignments
  • Regularly evaluating program effectiveness and making data-driven improvement recommendations
  • Helping hire, onboard, train, and evaluate the performance of behavior specialists
  • Helping plan, schedule, and conduct in-service and monthly meetings for residential and educational staff
  • Regularly assessing behavioral, health, and safety policies and proactively addressing weaker areas
  • Building positive relationships with family members, agencies, and community partners
  • Serving as an ambassador for our organization and assisting with other responsibilities as assigned
