About The Position

We are looking for Behavioral Interventionists for our alternate school, ChOICE Academy. The role provides direct supervision to youth within an integrated mental health treatment facility / educational center. This team implements behavioral programming and milieu counseling in social, emotional and recreation/leisure skills and activities of daily living in classroom, day treatment and community settings. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services, education or psychology or equivalent education and experience
• Organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and trust with parents, other school staff, and WCMHS staff
• Valid drivers license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe and reliable insured vehicle required
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or run for prolonged period
• Positive regard for individuals with disabilities
• Willing and able to satisfactorily complete specialized physical and verbal de-escalation training
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Willing to learn crisis de-escalation and passive restraint techniques to the satisfaction of the training instructor

Responsibilities

• Supervise students individually or in groups as needed and assigned
• Work with a team of interventionists to implement behavior and treatment plans
• Keep accurate, timely notes consistent with agency standards
