Join our Logan Health team as a Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) supporting the community of Shelby, MT! What You’ll Be Doing: This position plays a vital role in improving mental wellness by providing both brief interventions and traditional therapy in a hybrid clinic model. You'll work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, compassionate care. Participating in employee and community-based committees Advocating for mental health awareness and access Providing suicide prevention courses (if trained) Supporting integrated behavioral health in a rural healthcare setting Building lasting relationships rooted in trust and community engagement Who You Are: You’re a licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) with a strong sense of initiative and a deep commitment to serving rural populations. Ideally you'll bring a minimum of two years of clinical experience (preferred), along with the versatility to support all populations. You are also: Independent, dependable, and self-motivated Skilled in both short-term interventions and long-term therapy Passionate about community involvement and mental health advocacy Work Location and Schedule: As part of our dedicated Behavioral Health team, you'll be serving our community in our Shelby Rural Health Clinic. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field required.
  • Current Montana LCSW, LCPC or LMFT licensure required.
  • We will consider an LCPC licensure candidate needing supervison.
  • Current CPR certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Ability to analyze, intervene and evaluate a range of psychosocial theory and methods as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Possess a working knowledge of: Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Education, and/or Marriage and Families.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral health disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of mental health counseling experience is preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of evidenced based practice and experience in assessment, crisis assessment, brief therapies, and clinical case management preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social, historical and spiritual issues relevant to the provision of mental health treatment as applicable to assigned area(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Triages referrals from providers and ensures on-going liaison occurs with stakeholders as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Performs initial and comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, behavioral systems, level of care need, and other information necessary to determine treatment as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Performs as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, provides consultation, and education services as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Coordinates patient transitions into services and discharges from treatment as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Coordinates care, admissions, and/or referrals with appropriate stakeholders as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Completes progress notes and documentation in EMR for services provided to patient per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • As applicable to assigned area(s): Provides individual, group, and family therapy, clinical case management, and outreach services in an effort to fulfill the patient’s treatment goals, wellness and recovery; Participates in development of individual and/or group treatment plans utilizing a variety of brief psychotherapeutic, psychosocial and/or psychoeducational modalities.
  • Provides crisis management as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Works with medical, clinical and support staff to arrange, mobilize, utilize, and coordinate a comprehensive range of community resources that effectively meet the identified patient and family needs as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Serves as a patient advocate and liaison with physicians and other healthcare professionals as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Complies with the legal and regulatory laws, reporting, and practice standards within scope of practice.
  • As applicable to assigned area(s): performs the duties of Utilization Review, precertification, concurrent reviews, and retro reviews; completes data collection, call backs, and identified metrics; analyzes data, presents information, identifies trends, and makes recommendations; maintains databases and analytics regarding admissions, resources, etc.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
