About The Position

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally competent behavioral health services. This role conducts comprehensive assessments, provides individual psychotherapy, coordinates care, and facilitates discharge planning and case management as needed. The clinician collaborates with internal teams, client collateral contacts, and community resources to support effective, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field required.
Independent licensure in Wisconsin (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) required.
Bi-annual BLS Certification required.

Nice To Haves

Substance Abuse Counselor credential preferred.
Minimum two years of direct clinical experience in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide trauma-informed behavioral health services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders (may include adults and/or children).
Conduct thorough screening and assessment of clients to establish accurate diagnoses and guide treatment planning.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
Maintain clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and legal or admission documents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers to coordinate care and gather collateral information.
Assess suicide and behavioral health risks, develop safety plans, and ensure appropriate intervention.
Facilitate case management and connect clients with community resources to address social needs.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards.
