The Behavioral Health Therapist position is an overnight role responsible for consultation, guidance, and support for the Mobile Crisis team, Residential Crisis/IRTS, and EmPATH Unit. This position will greatly impact the community and help develop the future of behavioral health workers while working with both adult and children populations. The role requires a broad understanding of human behavior, counseling theories, and psychopathology, with total independence and responsibility for patient well-being. The therapist will provide diagnostic assessments, onsite crisis assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to patient needs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related Behavioral Health Sciences required.
• License must be in good standing in state(s) of practice.
• In Minnesota, must have one of the following: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• If applicable, must possess a valid class D driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessment and onsite crisis assessment and intervention.
• Develop treatment plans and implement treatment interventions specific to patient needs.
• Continually assess patient's progress and revise diagnosis(es), treatment plans, and interventions accordingly.
• Document treatment sessions and provide patient progress updates to the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patient support members about patient issues and interventions.
• Refer for additional clinical services or to specialists as needed.
