Job Summary: Location: Center Pointe Professional Plaza Address: 9239 West Center Rd. - Omaha, NE Work Schedule: 20 hours/week, split between day/evening hours A licensed clinical professional responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services. Focuses on helping clients manage symptoms, improve coping mechanisms, achieve functional goals, and enhance overall psychological well-being. Ideal candidate possesses proficiency in various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care), and a deep commitment to ethical practice and collaborative care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another human services related field
  • A minimum of one year of post-master’s clinical experience with major mental illness, counseling/therapy, and/or substance use/abuse treatment
  • Nebraska Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) or Nebraska Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) required
  • Ability to attentively listen to clients, understanding both verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Capacity to understand and share the feelings of others.
  • Skill and ability to clearly express ideas and thoughts, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences and social determinants of health and their impact on mental health.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to adhere to all state, federal and organizational regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Ability to prioritize self-care to avoid burnout and maintain professional effectiveness.
  • Ability to solicit and accept feedback for ongoing improvement and learning
  • Ability to work set hours for their specific position which may include early morning, and/or some evenings
  • Ability to travel occasionally between locations as needed
  • Ability to provide services via telehealth as needed.
  • Available for occasional on-call coverage as scheduled/necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) preferred
  • Certified Marriage and Family Therapist (CMFT) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Services (65%): Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments (as pertinent to care model) and determine appropriate levels of care. Assess for risk of harm to self or others Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and/or stakeholders to ensure holistic and integrated care.
  • Crisis Intervention Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support. De-escalate crises and promote safety. Facilitate and deliver critical incident response services and offer psychoeducation as requested Connect clients with appropriate resources and services.
  • Documentation (30%): Maintain accurate, timely and confidential client records including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Administrative Duties (5%): Maintain productivity standards as required by program management Participate in staff meetings and training Assist with program development and evaluation. Invest in regular networking with stakeholders and/or the community to promote the program and services, answer questions and ensure referrals. Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient operations.
