About The Position

Cenikor is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician in Tyler, TX, who is dedicated to service and helping others. The role involves creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment for clients dealing with substance abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being. The position requires assisting clients with personal hygiene, monitoring their movements, and participating in therapeutic activities. The technician will also be involved in housekeeping duties, client admissions, and maintaining security protocols within the facility. This is a part-time position with various shifts available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year security/safety experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
• Experience with conflict resolution.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment for substance abuse clients.
• Maintains adequate security for clients and monitors their movements.
• Accompanies clients to medical clinics, meals, and recreational activities.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Participates in therapeutic activities and assists clinical treatment team members.
• Monitors health, security, and well-being of clients.
• Answers phone calls and takes messages as needed.
• Serves meals and ensures food service standards are met.
• Assists with client admissions and discharge procedures.
• Participates in educational programs to increase knowledge and job skills.
• Assists in leading weekly team meetings and training newly hired BHTs.
