The Behavioral Health Technician I position is vital in providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients. Requirements

  • High School education OR equivalent with two (2) years of responsible employment.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Completion of all training requirements, including First Aid and CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle and twenty-three (23) years for a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
  • For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor's Degree, OR MAADC I or II.
  • For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety (90) days in position.

Responsibilities

  • Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
  • Encourage clients/patients to adhere to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner while communicating concerns to the treatment team.
  • Monitor vital signs and determine when to escalate to medical intervention for critical symptoms.
  • Obtain and record vital signs and relevant medical symptoms as indicated by medical personnel.
  • Oversee medication administration per policy and procedure.
  • Maintain accurate records of client medications and their self-administration.
  • Facilitate urine collection, testing, lab send-offs, and document accordingly.
  • Prepare for and facilitate group rehabilitative support and education sessions.
  • Provide client/patient transportation as needed to appointments.
