As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll play an essential role in supporting daily treatment programming, building therapeutic relationships, and helping clients succeed in their recovery journey.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Previous mental health or human services experience a plus — entry-level candidates are welcome to apply!
  • Experience facilitating groups or activities is helpful but not required.
  • Professionalism, leadership, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to engage compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Dependability, organization, and sound judgment in dynamic situations.
  • Calm, ethical, and decisive under pressure.
  • Team-oriented mindset and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Support new client admissions and assist with the intake process.
  • Maintain clear, detailed documentation and communication logs.
  • Foster a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when needed.
  • Lead or assist with group activities and therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct required bed checks and complete shift documentation.
  • Ensure client schedules are followed daily.
  • Monitor medication lines and assist with safety checks.
  • Uphold therapeutic boundaries and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Follow individual treatment plan objectives and support client progress.
