About The Position

Support teen girls ages 12–17 in our primary mental health residential program in Penngrove, CA. Our residents are working through anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, and challenges related to neurodivergence. You'll build meaningful relationships with residents while supporting their daily routines and emotional growth in a calm, structured environment. No healthcare experience required—we provide full training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CA driver's license with clean record
  • First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Calm, patient, and reliable—teens depend on consistent support
  • Comfortable supporting young women through emotional challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
  • Experience working with teens, in residential settings, or mental health programs
  • Familiarity with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, or neurodivergent populations

Responsibilities

  • Support residents through daily routines: meals, activities, self-care, and recreation
  • Build rapport and provide a consistent, calm presence for teens navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma
  • Monitor resident safety and provide one-on-one support when needed
  • Use de-escalation techniques during emotional moments
  • Support residents with disordered eating through mealtime structure and encouragement
  • Communicate with clinical staff about resident progress and concerns during shift handoffs
  • Transport residents to appointments and outings (clean CA license required)
  • Document behaviors and observations per program requirements
  • Administer medications per physician orders (training and certification provided)
