About The Position

Serenity for Life is a new women's residential program which opened the doors for business October 2025. It is a voluntary, 12-bed, luxury facility nestled in the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado. The number of beds and extended stay offers staff the ability to work closely with the residents and to make a difference in their lives, the lives of their loved ones, and the communities in which they reside. We utilize evidence-based practices and provide trauma informed care. We provide a safe, relaxing environment while offering residents the tools and support needed to manage their substance use and co-occurring disorders. The rooms have stream and mountain views from the balconies and private hot tubs offer a peaceful environment for clients to heal and grow. The numerous outdoor adventures allow the residents to learn new activities, reduce stress, improve sleep, build self-confidence, and develop long-lasting friendships. We are looking for team members who have a passion for the behavioral health field, enjoy outdoor adventures, and value open communication, teamwork, innovation, and creativity. Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing a safe, structured, closely supervised living environment. This position works in cooperation with the clinical team in ensuring best practices are in accordance with agency standards.

Requirements

  • One to two years of relevant experience is preferred
  • Valid Colorado driver's License
  • Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (BLS/AED) or CPR/First Aid and AED
  • QMAP certified or able to obtain prior to 1st day of employment
  • ServSafe - Food Handler certified or in the process of obtaining

  • CAT or CAS (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the intake process by inventorying client belongings and obtaining UA and breath samples
  • May assist with vital signs
  • Perform rounds at designated time schedules (approximately once per every hour worked) and documents observations of client behavior
  • Anticipate and respond to client needs
  • Share client observations, concerns, and/or needs with medical/clinical team
  • Escort clients to events outside of the agency such as outdoor adventures, appointments, and to/from the airport or another facility
  • Abide by "Vehicle Safety Emergency Policy and Procedures," including reporting any vehicle maintenance or concerns to direct supervisor
  • Assist with referral and discharge resourcing and planning
  • Attend required staff meetings and trainings
  • Ensure that the facility is always clean and neat
  • Provide service coordination and case management if CAT/CAS
  • Provide skill-based education if CAT/CAS
  • At the beginning of every week, provide a "Laundry Sign-Up" sheet for clients to add their information if they want to participate.
  • Perform common room checks for drug or alcohol related items during idle time (e.g. evenings after clients are asleep).
  • Other duties as assigned/required
