This role involves providing direct behavioral health patient care, assisting patients with daily living activities, and providing or assisting with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions. The technician will observe and record patient behavior and activities, report changes in condition, suggest modifications to treatment plans, and establish therapeutic relationships with assigned patients.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred
  • Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health preferred
  • Behavioral Health experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral health patient care
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living
  • Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions
  • Observe and record patient behavior and activities
  • Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients
