About The Position
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (BHT) – CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH HOSPITAL, WICHITA, KS Salary: Starting at $15.00 per hour (increases based on education & experience) Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and youth? Camber Children’s Mental Health in Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide care, supervision, and support to help young people achieve their treatment goals in a safe and therapeutic environment. WHY JOIN CAMBER? Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school
- Licensure/Certification: Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
- Experience: 1–3 months of related experience and/or training working with adults or children in a behavioral health care or similar environment preferred
- Must be at least 20 years old to apply
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and supervision to children and youth in our facility
- Support daily activities and reinforce treatment plans developed by nurses and therapists
- Teach coping techniques and positive behavior skills
- Document client activity and progress
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients
