About The Position

Person in this position will coordinate and oversee the operations of direct care workers and of clients, insuring safety of all residents, model appropriate behavior, and compliance to program rules. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Essential Job Functions: Work under the supervision of Program Director. Receive at least 4 hours of documented face-to-face supervision monthly. Have all treatment plans co-signed by Director. Train new employees. Assist in the development of monthly schedules. Facilitate and assist with chores including mealtime preparation and facilitate house meetings. Transport to community appointments such as medical, dental or school, as needed. Check and complete support documentation and daily notes for assigned clients. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations insuring safety for all. Monitor breaks and lunches. Responsible for updated documents. Implement the behavioral/level system. Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation. Other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with clients in a residential setting.
  • Shall have completed 80 hours of training in alcohol and other drug abuse counseling within 4 years immediately prior to the date of assuming the duties of Lead Direct Care Worker at the program, or within 2 years immediately thereafter.
  • Current West Virginia Driver’s License, proof of insurance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Individuals in these positions will have a minimum of high school diploma.
  • Must provide current evidence of successful completion of a biennial training program in CPR and a triennial training program in first aid that has been offered by a certified or licensed health care professional within first year of employment.
