We’re seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to support our Intensive Outpatient Program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. JOB SUMMARY The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct services and support to clients enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Program. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the BHT assists in the delivery of evidence-based group programming, supports clients in skill acquisition, ensures program/staff/client safety and program structure, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and wellness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, and/or work experience in behavioral health required
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required
  • BLS/CPR and CPI Certification required
  • Group Facilitation
  • Safety Rounds Monitoring
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Interdisciplinary Communication and Team Participation
  • Accurate and Timely Documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational, skills, and process groups using structured curricula (CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches).
  • Assist clients in practicing coping strategies, social skills, and self-regulation techniques.
  • Monitor and document client participation, progress, and behaviors in accordance with ADHS and program documentation requirements within an electronic medical record.
  • Recognize patients that are exhibiting aggressive behavior, acting as a danger to themselves or others, or are in crisis constituting a medical emergency.
  • Provides intervention including redirecting of patients and/or participating in seclusion and restraint as needed.
  • Provides care that promotes dignity, independence, strength, privacy and choice.
  • Exhibits respect for diversity and boundaries.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for clients during program hours.
  • Customer/client focused and confirms with and abides by all regulations, policies, patient rights, work procedures, code procedures, and instruction.
  • Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
