Behavioral Health Technician (2nd Shift + Overnight Hybrid) 📍 Mills River, NC – Silver Ridge | Pyramid Healthcare 💰 $17.00–$18.50/hour + shift differentials 🕒 Full-Time or Part-Time | 2nd Shift & Overnight Flex Make a Difference in Behavioral Health Care Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team in a hybrid 2nd shift and overnight role. This position is ideal for individuals interested in mental health, substance use treatment, or healthcare—entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. In this flexible role, you’ll support clients during both evening programming hours and overnight monitoring, helping ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment around the clock.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Behavioral health or mental health experience preferred, but not required
- Experience leading groups or activities is a plus
- Compassionate, professional, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, confident, and effective in crisis situations
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working with diverse populations
- Flexible and adaptable to a hybrid shift schedule
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health or mental health experience preferred, but not required
- Experience leading groups or activities is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with client intake and orientation into the program
- Maintain accurate client documentation and communication logs
- Monitor client safety, behavior, and emotional needs throughout 2nd shift and overnight hours
- Conduct bed checks and complete shift reports
- Support daily schedules, evening programming, and treatment plan adherence
- Assist with crisis intervention and therapeutic activities
- Monitor medication line and assist with safety checks/searches
- Help facilitate group activities or structured programming during 2nd shift
- Maintain therapeutic boundaries and uphold ethical standards
- Assist with facility upkeep and unit organization
- Train new staff on unit procedures and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
