Behavioral Health Technician – Full-Time 2nd Shift Location: Mills River, NC Pay: $17 – $18.50 per hour (with shift differential) Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Behavioral Health Technician to join our compassionate and highly skilled team. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license required
Experience in mental health preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
Professionalism, leadership, and confidentiality
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to interact positively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure
Crisis management skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a team-focused environment
Consistency in interactions with clients, staff, visitors, and the public

Responsibilities

Assist with intake processes for new clients entering the program
Maintain accurate, detailed communication logs and client documentation
Provide attentive, supportive interaction with clients regarding their treatment
Ensure a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when needed
Coordinate client activities and ensure adherence to daily schedules
Conduct and document mandatory bed checks
Monitor medication lines and assist with interventions as needed
Perform searches upon intake or as required
Monitor and address client safety and medical needs
Maintain therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the Staff Code of Ethics
Evaluate client behavioral and emotional needs, offering constructive input
Distribute client snacks and assist with facility upkeep
Train new staff on unit protocols, program expectations, and milieu management
Collaborate with staff to meet the needs of clients and maintain a robust clinical program
Perform other duties as assigned
