Behavioral Health Technician – Full-Time 2nd Shift Location: Mills River, NC Pay: $17 – $18.50 per hour (with shift differential) Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Behavioral Health Technician to join our compassionate and highly skilled team. This role is a key part of our mission to provide exceptional care for individuals in our program, supporting their treatment journey in a safe and therapeutic environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience in mental health preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Professionalism, leadership, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact positively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure
  • Crisis management skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a team-focused environment
  • Consistency in interactions with clients, staff, visitors, and the public

  • Experience facilitating groups or activities a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with intake processes for new clients entering the program
  • Maintain accurate, detailed communication logs and client documentation
  • Provide attentive, supportive interaction with clients regarding their treatment
  • Ensure a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when needed
  • Coordinate client activities and ensure adherence to daily schedules
  • Conduct and document mandatory bed checks
  • Monitor medication lines and assist with interventions as needed
  • Perform searches upon intake or as required
  • Monitor and address client safety and medical needs
  • Maintain therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the Staff Code of Ethics
  • Evaluate client behavioral and emotional needs, offering constructive input
  • Distribute client snacks and assist with facility upkeep
  • Train new staff on unit protocols, program expectations, and milieu management
  • Collaborate with staff to meet the needs of clients and maintain a robust clinical program
  • Perform other duties as assigned
