About The Position

Are you passionate about helping youth make empowered decisions, build coping skills, and stay engaged academically? The CHOICE Program is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) or Para Professionals to support clients in a structured, therapeutic day program environment. About the CHOICE Program The CHOICE Program is a year-round behavioral health day program designed to support youth who need structured therapeutic intervention while maintaining academic progress. Our program integrates: Individualized behavioral health treatment Group therapy and skill-building Community-based therapeutic experiences A structured therapeutic milieu An academic component delivered through self-paced distance learning platforms The distance learning platform ensures clients remain engaged in their education while receiving the behavioral health services they need. Treatment planning is individualized, with curriculum and interventions aligned to each client's specific treatment goals. Program Focus Areas Emotional regulation Impulse control Coping skill development Accountability and decision-making Social skills and healthy peer interactions Academic engagement and responsibility The goal of the CHOICE Program is to help youth replace impulsive behaviors with healing-centered, empowered decision-making.

Requirements

  • Experience working with at-risk youth or behavioral health populations
  • Ability to manage group dynamics in a structured setting
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Comfort supporting students in online/self-paced academic programs
  • Crisis intervention skills (or willingness to be trained)
  • A passion for empowering youth through accountability and growth
  • APPLICANTS MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE CRIMINAL HISTORY SELF-DISCLOSURE AFFIDAVITS AND OBTAIN AN ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) LEVEL 1 FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CARD, WHICH INVOLVES A STATE AND FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.

Responsibilities
