Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid FL Driver License
• Ability to participate in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training and apply learned techniques as needed.
• Crisis intervention certification
• CPR Certification
• Certified Behavioral Health Technician

Nice To Haves

• Associates and/or bachelor's degree in human services related field
• Certification as Behavioral Health Tech (CBHT)
• Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Recovery Peer/Support Specialist (CRPS/CRRS)

Responsibilities

• Encourages persons served to attend and participate in daily treatment-related activities.
• Engages persons served to discuss their mental health, substance use, and other life circumstances.
• Observes persons served for changes in behavior and documents as necessary.
• Communicates regularly with co-workers, including clinicians, to ensure persons served receive appropriate treatment interventions.
• Applies program rules and regulations to ensure a structured and stable living environment.
• Performs pre-admission and routine searches to ensure a safe living environment for all residents.
• May provide assistance with medication administration.
