About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician plays a crucial role in supporting clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders at BriteLife Recovery. This position involves observing client behaviors, documenting their conditions, and facilitating therapeutic and recreational activities. The technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment, ensuring clients receive the necessary care and guidance throughout their recovery journey.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Preferred: Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Growth mindset essential.

Responsibilities

  • Observe client behaviors and document their conditions accurately.
  • Lead clients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients to ensure a cohesive experience.
  • Enter client information into the EMR database as directed.
  • Relay client issues and concerns to the treatment team promptly.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client interactions.
  • Provide practical support in coping with daily demands through modeling and coaching.
  • Explain and complete the admissions process for incoming clients, including necessary screenings and orientations.
  • Maintain a professional image and promote a healthy recovery environment.
  • Escort clients to various activities and outings.
  • Perform general housekeeping functions as needed.
  • Promote BriteLife Recovery positively to prospective clients and employees.
