Summary In addition to performing the role of a BHT, the Lead BHT is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. Lead BHT ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the Program Director and others as needed.

Requirements

  • High diploma or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information
  • Ability to handle a crisis and or potential risk situation and react appropriately
  • A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body and compliance standards.
  • Upholding staff code of ethics and therapeutic boundaries

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2 years behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing, and leading the team to complete duties of the BHT role on each shift, passing important information on to shift BHTs, to ensure consistency and create a positive environment
  • Assist with the BHT schedule
  • Complete the intake process with new clients into program
  • Maintains client documentation
  • Observe an document client self-administration of medication
  • Coordination of client activities
  • Follows objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs
  • Provide client transportation
  • Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides response including crisis intervention
  • Maintains safe, clean, and orderly physical environment
  • Assists with the dietary needs of clients
  • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team
