About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician II at Avera Behavioral Health Center plays a crucial role in providing physical and psychological care to patients in a structured therapeutic environment. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping adults with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. The technician works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care while being part of a multidisciplinary team focused on positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, criminal justice, education, behavior analysis, health or social sciences, counseling, alcohol studies, liberal arts, or any other human services and/or medical field is required.
• Two years of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychological care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.

• Support patients in using healthy coping skills and achieving their personal goals.
