Summary: A Behavioral Health Technician is sought to join our Dallas inpatient rehab center, dedicated to providing detox and residential programming for adults with serious substance use disorders. This role involves monitoring clients, assisting with interventions, and driving clients to appointments. Nurses provide medical care round-the-clock, ensuring clients safely withdraw from substances in a comfortable setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Active valid driver’s license.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Completion of various safety trainings upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a hospital or behavioral healthcare environment, patient care, and/or transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor clients and assist with intake processes for new program entrants.
  • Communicate effectively with staff through verbal or written logs, maintaining detailed client logs.
  • Listen to clients' concerns about treatment and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate and oversee client activities such as lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks and complete necessary shift reports.
  • Ensure daily adherence to client schedules and treatment plans.
  • Monitor medication distribution and transport clients to meetings and recreational activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
