About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician position in the Psychiatric Nursing Unit involves providing direct behavioral health patient care. The role requires assisting patients with daily living activities, providing direct patient care, and observing and recording patient behavior. The technician will establish therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and report any changes in their condition to suggest modifications to the treatment plan.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health preferred.
• Minimum Associates Degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork mindset, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
