New Vista's Solero works with individuals and their support systems to equip individuals with the resources needed to improve and sustain their mental health, and reconnect individuals with their support system and community. From scheduling an admission date to acquainting individuals with the campus and everything in between, patients are supported by our team of compassionate employees. Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and help create a safe, supportive, and healing environment for our residents during the overnight hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
  • Ability to remain alert and responsive during overnight hours
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in behavioral health, residential care, or similar setting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night
  • Conduct routine room checks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support residents in adhering to their treatment plans and facility rules
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and participate in shift change reports
  • Maintain a clean, structured, and therapeutic environment
