Requirements

  • Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance
  • RBT 40 hour training completed within 2 weeks of hire, facilitation, training, and supervision is provided by RBL BH.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous professional and/or personal experience working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Learn and implement data collection
  • Assist VIPs with self-care skills (i.e., hygiene, bathroom, feeding).
  • Provide intensive supervision to assigned VIP
  • Create and execute meaningful activities in the community
  • Collaboration with other community-based team members, including the assigned BSC
  • Studied all relevant records regarding the VIP you are assigned.
  • Provide a fun and engaging experience for individuals and staff
  • Accurately complete all documentation and reports of individuals (progress notes, mileage logs) and hand them in promptly when due
  • Building relationships with families and VIPs
  • Completing 24 hours of required annual training
  • Implement the strategies in the individual's behavior plan
  • Assist in skill-building strategies
  • Attend required supervision with the assigned Behavior Specialist Consultant
  • Gather assessment data
  • Complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training within 6 months of hire
  • Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreational activities.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, engage in supervision and training, and collaborate with the team, staff members, and families on the strategies outlined in the behavior plan.
