About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of behavioral health services to the New Mexico Corrections Department. We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Western New Mexico Correctional Facility-South, which serves an all-male population located in Grants, New Mexico. This position is crucial in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs within a correctional setting. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients. Your role will involve implementing interventions tailored to the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support. You will also supervise patients, providing guidance and support in their daily activities, which include hygiene, eating, and recreation. In addition to direct patient care, you will be responsible for providing formal education on routine activities of daily living, assisting in the preparation and maintenance of records related to patient mental health, and scheduling and supervising telepsychiatry appointments. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to improving the lives of those in their care, while also maintaining a safe and secure environment within the facility.
