About The Position
Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, the Behavioral Health Tech assists nursing to improve and maintain the emotional and physical health of psychiatric patients. This role involves performing nursing care activities under the supervision and/or direction of various nursing and management staff, including the Director, Clinical Manager, Coordinator, Charge Nurse, or Staff Nurse. The tech also participates in the milieu therapy program under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position requires completing established competencies within a designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
- Assists nursing to improve and maintain the emotional and physical health of the psychiatric patient(s)
- Performs nursing care activities under the supervision and/or direction of the Director, Clinical Manager, Coordinator, Charge Nurse or Staff Nurse
- Participates in the milieu therapy program under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
- Other related duties as assigned
