About The Position

The BHT operates as an active and crucial part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The BHT works under the direction of the Milieu Manager and Director of Nursing (DON).

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age to be a BHT.
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric or behavioral health inpatient setting.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Possession of a Valid Driver's License and pass a 39-month driving report.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of Verbal De-Escalation Training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision.
• Engage in interaction and role modeling for patients.
• Work under the direction of the Milieu Manager and Director of Nursing.
