About The Position

We are hiring for a Behavioral Health Specialist Crisis Treatment Specialist for the Overnight shift at the Neil Dobbins Center, which is a facility-based crisis and non-hospital detox center. This position offers a sign-on bonus of $500.00 and a pay rate of $17.00/hr. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts weekly. The role involves providing direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being, and supporting the maintenance of a therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years’ experience in health care work at the level of health care assistant or an associate of arts in mental health; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience must be in the field of mental health.
  • Life experience may be substituted for work experience at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • 2 years’ experience in a health care setting, some knowledge of addiction and recovery programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide milieu management of the unit for individuals during their 5 to 7 day crisis stabilization.
  • Provide support to the RN/LPN on shift.
  • Support the admission and discharge process by cleaning individual rooms, showering, and organizing individuals' belongings.
  • Participate in monthly clinical supervision.
  • Follow the service plan for each individual.
  • Complete visual checks as required and/or as needed.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Work closely with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and provide feedback.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation.
