About The Position

The Mental Health Technician – Tier I provides direct care, monitoring, assistance, and advocacy for behavioral health clients and support to professional staff by performing a wide variety of duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both written and verbal skills.
• Compassionate and understanding.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to other areas.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• High School diploma, GED or Higher Education required.
• Must obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of starting unit orientation.
• Current BLS upon hire or acquire within 30 days of employment and current thereafter.
