About The Position

The BHT operates as an active and crucial part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The BHT works under the direction of the Milieu Manager, RN Charge Nurse, and Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age to be a BHT.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and pass a 39-Month Driving Report.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric or behavioral health inpatient setting.
• Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of Verbal DeEscalation Training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervision.
• Interact and role model for patients.
• Work under the direction of the Milieu Manager, RN Charge Nurse, and Director of Nursing.
